Taking Care of Your Vehicle

Whether you have a brand new vehicle from one of the Superior Group dealerships, you just bought a used vehicle from Mike Albert Direct or you have a vehicle that is a few year – or more – older, you have to take care of the vehicle if you want it to last. This means the interior, the exterior and the mechanical components.

Exterior Care

The elements, especially sun and hail, will damage the exterior of your vehicle. You can minimize Mother Nature’s destruction if you care for the exterior of the vehicle. Mud, snow and salty slush also take their toll on your vehicle’s frame and paint. Giving the exterior a good wash every month and waxing the paint at least every couple months helps to increase the life of the paint, including keeping it from fading.

Interior Care

Keep the carpets and upholstery clean so that ground-in dirt won’t destroy them. Also, dashboards tend to crack from the sun. If you use the appropriate conditioner for the dashboard material plus keep a reflective sun shade in the windshield, you’ll save the interior from fading as fast and from cracking. If you or your family drop crumbs or spill anything, clean it up as soon as possible. The acids in some food and drink can damage the materials and fabrics.

Mechanical Care

While keeping your vehicle clean and protected helps keep the value up by maintaining the “curb appeal,” taking care of the mechanics is most important. Bring your vehicle in to our service department for the recommended scheduled maintenance including oil changes, tune ups, timing belt replacement, fluid checks and other checks. Our service technicians will let you know if something needs to be replaced such as a belt that is worn or worn brake pads.

The technicians will also check your fluids and let you know if you have any leaks that need to be repaired. Leaks should be repaired as soon as possible as low fluids will damage parts; and in the case of low oil, the engine could suffer considerable damage.

Kia Advanced Technology

When you are in the market for a new vehicle, one of the things you may look for in a specific make is what type of technology is available in that manufacturer’s models. When you choose Kia you’ll get lots of advanced technology – in many cases, for less money. Visit Superior Kia to test drive one or more models on our lot and you’ll be able to compare prices and trim levels to find the best deal.

User Friendly Technology

Just because the technology is more advanced, that doesn’t have to mean it’s hard to use or hard to learn. Kia gave all of its advanced technology features – convenience features, entertainment, comfort and more – user friendliness. Technologies include features such as the UVO infotainment and telematics system, ventilated front seats, voice recognition technology and even the back-up warning system.

Advanced Technology Not Just for Luxury Vehicles Anymore

Non luxury models such as the 2015 Kia Forte, a compact sedan, features advanced technology; and you’ll find that prices are very competitive with other manufacturers’ vehicles in the same classes – and they may not have the advanced technology you’ll find in a Kia. When you choose the Forte, you’ll definitely find advanced features that are not found in any other compact sedan in the Forte’s class including audio controls mounted on the steering wheel and SiriusXM radio, power windows, Bluetooth and heated power door mirrors – all found in the 2015 Kia Forte LX.

In the higher trim levels, in addition to features not found in other makes in this class, you can also order an optional Premium Package to get heated front and rear seats, a power sunroof, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat and a heated steering wheel.

The Next Level

UVO, Kia’s voice-activated infotainment system, is found in Kia models, but the 2015 Kia Cadenza takes it to the limit with the UVO eServices telematics suite, which is enabled by a free smart phone app. Get navigation, conveniences features and diagnostic features without subscription fees.

This is just a few of the things Kia has up its sleeve. Stop by Superior Kia today to test drive one of our models and to learn more about the advanced technology you can find in a Kia.

How Do Your Make Your Hyundai More You?

http://pictures.dealer.com/s/superiorhyundainorth/1556/0749f737b7ef09284c53c6c78528e3c7x.jpg

Once you bring your new vehicle home from Superior Hyundai North, you may want to personalize it; and you can do that with accessories from Hyundai. Depending on the model you have, you could add anything from running boards to spoilers to seat covers and more.

Add running boards to an SUV or crossover to give it a different look. Running boards also help people get into the vehicle by giving them a step. Children and older friends and relatives will appreciate the extra step into the vehicle.

Roof racks are great for any vehicle. They allow you to transport bicycles, canoes, skis, or even a tote for more storage space.

Add a spoiler to your vehicle to give an already cool-looking vehicle more “coolness.”

Seat covers protect your investment – they protect the seats from wear and tear and from accidental spills. If you have dogs the seat covers protect the seats from muddy paws, sharp nails and pet accidents.

Floor mats come in many different colors and styles. Choose something with a logo that fits your personality.

For those who are avid hunters for fishers, you can also purchase extras such as seat-back net pockets to hold maps and hunting or fishing gear where it’s in easy reach. Instead of packing that much-needed hatchet in the back with everything else, slip it into a seat-back pocket along with an extra flashlight for easy access.

Dash pads come in many different colors and protect the vinyl dash pad from the sun. Once those crack, they devalue your vehicle and can be difficult to replace. A carpeted dash pad protects the vinyl pad from the sun. If you don’t care for those, find a sun blocker for the windshield. You’ll have to put it up each time you park the vehicle, but it protects the materials inside and helps keep your vehicle cool.

Additional accessories that you may need include sporting accessories such as gun racks and fishing pole racks also give your vehicle some personalization, though you’ll have to visit a sporting goods store to find those items. Everything else is available through Superior Hyundai North. Visit us today to accessorize your vehicle and make it more “you.”

Don’t Miss the Hyundai Genesis and Sonata at the World Cup

The Genesis and the Sonata have a special job, as they will be the vehicles that will represent the auto manufacturer at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The World Cup will be held in June and July; and it’s the perfect venue for Hyundai to amp up the entire brand. Previously, Hyundai used the Genesis and the Equus nameplates to advance premium market ambitions, but now the company wants to advance its entire line of vehicles, including the Sonata and other redesigned models you can find at Superior Hyundai South.

One of the ways to do this is to showcase the Sonata with the Genesis; and that is exactly what the Korean auto maker is doing. Both vehicles have been redesigned and both model years are launching about the same time, according to Steven Shannon, the vice president of marketing of Hyundai Motor America. Shannon also stated that Hyundai’s sponsorship includes exclusive auto advertising on ESPN and Univision during the tournament coverage.

Additionally, Hyundai is putting together a program to help dealerships create golf programs of their own. The company will help dealerships find local tournaments.

The Sonata has new engineering, is more refined and quieter, has a better body structure and chassis, more technology and better fuel economy than previous versions. Shannon said that advertising the two cars together reminds people that the premier Genesis and the Sonata come from the same auto manufacturer.

The 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS features a 2.4-liter engine backed by a six-speed automatic mode select transmission. This combination puts out 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. It gets 24 mpg* in the city and 35 mpg* on the highway.

Convenience and entertainment features include speed control, an emergency communication system, remote keyless entry, an overhead console, an MP3 decoder, SiriusXM, six speakers and steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and an AM/FM stereo.

Safety and security features include brake assist, electronic stability control, ABS brakes, traction control, and more.

Stop by Superior Hyundai South today to test drive the Genesis or Sonata. If you go to the World Cup, be sure to take some pictures near the new Sonata and Genesis so you can share them with us!
