Three Ways to Pay Less for Auto Insurance

Auto insurance is a nuisance. If you’re a safe driver, then you wind up paying every month for the possibility of things that might never happen. Of course, you don’t want to drive without insurance. So, if we have to pay insurance for our new or used car, we might as well pay less for it. Here are some ideas to help:

Install Another Airbag

An airbag or an anti-theft device or anti-lock brakes or, well, anything else that you can afford to install in your car in order to make it a little safer to drive, or just safer to leave parked outside. Insurance companies love when you do this since it means that you’re improving their odds of not having to pay for repairs or replacing a stolen car, and they’ll show it in your rates.

Take a Defensive Driving Course

You can go to the local DMV or look online to find a great defensive driving course in your area. They’re not usually expensive to attend, and you not only lower your insurance rates, you also become a better driver, you become more aware of things that you might not have been attuned to prior, and that can be very rewarding in the long run.

Keep a Maintenance Record

Keeping your car in good condition and keeping a record of it can be a big help in keeping your insurance rates down. Every oil change and tire rotation is proof that you’re not only a safe driver, but a responsible car owner, and that can be a big help in earning you discounts with your insurance provider.

Of course, all of this starts with asking your insurer what sort of discounts they offer the day you drive off the new car dealership in Cincinnati. Make a note of what sort of discounts they offer and if they don’t seem like something you’re willing to try for, then simply switch insurers.

2014 Acura MDX

How many times have you been “wowed” by the debut of a new model year of an SUV? Well, buckle up, because it’s about to happen. Acura has unveiled the 2014 MDX, and it is really something special. The brand new luxury SUV made debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show and it’s guaranteed to be turning heads at new car dealerships in Cincinnati soon.

2014 Acura

This isn’t just the old MDX with some different tires or something; the 2014 MDX is built on a completely new platform which allows for new levels of fuel efficiency, family functionality and luxury. Add a brand new racing-inspired direct-injected 24-valve 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 engine. It produces a whopping 290 hp through its Variable Cylinder Management™. How do these improvements translate to improved performance on the road? When tested on Germany’s Nürburgring racing circuit, the 2014 MDX beat the 2013 MDX’s lap time by eight seconds. The power doesn’t lead to a major sacrifice in fuel economy either, as the new MDX gets up to 23 MPG combined city and highway gas mileage, according to EPA estimates.

When you are looking at the new cars Cincinnati has to offer, the 2014 Acura MDX is sure to be at the top of your list for luxury SUV’s. When you go to look at one up close be sure to get inside and spend some time getting familiar with the interior. When you’re inside, the outside is truly locked away, thanks to sound-deadening materials and Active Noise Control, which combine to give you a quiet ride. There’s also plenty of room inside with three rows of seating which have easy access to them. Add in the leather trim, silver plated accents and second row sunshades, and you’ll see that this is an interior built for luxury.

The technology on the new Acura MDX is as modern as the design, with an Acura/ELS Studio premium audio system, and the Acura Link system which can provide traffic information and surface street conditions in real time. AcuraLink also offers a number of other security, media, information and convenience features.

If you’ve ever had even a passing interest in the Acura MDX luxury sport utility vehicle, you need to give the 2014 model a look. And what better place to look at one than at the best Acura Dealer Cincinnati has to offer?

Just when you think you’ve seen everything Acura has to offer, they are set to introduce a new stylized vehicle that is certain to turn the heads of younger “Gen Y” buyers without turning their pockets inside out. Introducing the 2013 Acura ILX

As released by Cars.com:

Based on the Honda Civic, the ILX recalls the Acura RSX, sold from 2002 to 2006, though that car was a two-door with more of a sport emphasis. The ILX will offer three drivetrains, including Acura’s first-ever hybrid. The ILX competes with the likes of the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series, Buick Regal and Lexus CT 200h.

Cincinnati Acura: Have You Seen The New Acura NSX

The Acura NSX could be one of the most, publicly available, yet coveted sports cars in the world. How many times have you been out with friends and when (if) you see a NSX the immediate response is, “Ooooo, and Acura NSX, I really want one of those”? Every time I see one I catch myself seeing the same thing and I WORK for an Acura dealer.

So when are we going to get to see the new Acura NSX on the showroom floor? That depends. The NSX as been reintroduced as a concept vehicle at the Detroit auto show, based on the efficiency of hybrid power and all-wheel drive. I hesitate to call it a work in progress because we are nearing the finish line for it’s re-introduction within the next three years.

The new 2012 Acura NSX is rumored to pump out almost 600 horsepower from a V6 electric/hybrid engine. For more information specs of the 2012 Acura NSX check out Acura.com

So you can see, after seeing the 2012 Acura NSX for the first time, I know why Jerry Seinfeld wants one so badly, so will you.

Originally launched in 1990, the Acura NSX has taken the two-seater market by storm, with enthusiasts continually waiting on word or the release of the next, updated, version. That new version isn’t too far away. In fact, it’s right around the corner. So expect to see the new 2012 NSX cruising the streets of Cincinnati soon, this time with a barely street legal, electric/hybrid engine. I can say one thing, all of us at Superior Acura are almost as impatient about getting one as Jerry Seinfeld is.
